Job Description
OverviewWe are seeking a detail-oriented and professional Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team.The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative skills, excellent patient service abilities, and familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems.This role is vital in ensuring smooth clinic operations, accurate documentation, and exceptional patient experiences.Prior experience within a medical setting is preferred.Duties Greet patients warmly and provide exceptional front desk customer service Schedule appointments using EMR system (AdvancedMD) Verify insurance coverage and perform insurance verification procedures Manage patient check-in and check-out processes, including intake and documentation review Handle multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette and assist with patient inquiries, return voice mails, and respond to text messages Collect payments and perform medical collections as needed Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations Assist with medical billing, coding (ICD-10, CPT), and documentation review for claims processing Update and manage patient information to ensure correct contact and billing information Support clinic operations by filing documents, managing office supplies, and maintaining organized records Collaborate with clinical staff to facilitate care plans and coordinate patient services Requirements Proven experience in a medical office setting or healthcare environment, including front desk or administrative support roles Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems Knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-9/ICD-10 coding, CPT coding, and medical billing procedures are a plus Experience with insurance verification processes and Medicare documentation requirements Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation review and record keeping Ability to handle multi-line phone systems efficiently while maintaining professionalism Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and data security Exceptional communication skills with a focus on patient service and office support excellence This position offers an engaging environment where your administrative expertise directly contributes to quality healthcare delivery.We value professionalism, accuracy in documentation, and compassionate patient interactions.Job Type:Full-time Pay:$12.00 - $15.00 per hour Expected hours:25 - 30 per week Benefits:Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Education:Associate (Preferred) Experience:Medical office:1 year (Preferred) Location:New Hope, AL 35760 (Preferred) Work Location:In person.
