Explore Our Benefits:Healthcare Coverage Dental Insurance Vision Care 401(k) Plan Paid Vacation Sick Leave Consistent Working Hours Qualifications Required:A valid and current California LVN license.Proficient command of English, both spoken and written.Ability to regularly lift a minimum of 25 pounds (cape optional).Technological proficiency, including:a.Online ordering expertise b.Competence in Microsoft Word c.Familiarity with Excel spreadsheets.Reporting Structure:The DSD Assistant will report directly to the Director of Staff Development.Position Purpose:As a vital support to the Director of Staff Development, your responsibilities will include managing the Daily Staff Assignment Sheets, coordinating the monthly CNA schedule, conducting pre-employment verifications for new Certified Nurse Assistants, and collaborating with the DSD on monthly physicals and TB exams.You will also be responsible for conducting building inspections, enhancing the orientation experience, and overseeing Certification & Licensure and CPR documentation.Additionally, you will maintain records of educational attendance and notify staff about meetings and educational opportunities.Job Duties:Manage the Daily Staff Assignment Sheets:Develop sheets based on personnel availability.Ensure effective staffing while complying with PPD regulations.Distribute finalized sheets within each Assignment Book.Post Nurse Staffing Hours promptly before shift changes.Utilize organizational skills throughout the facility as directed by the Director of Nursing (DON).Maintain an organized stock to support nursing operations.Engage with the Nursing Team:Communicate supply needs at the beginning and end of each shift.Collaborate with Team Members:Work with the Director of Staff Development (DSD), DON, Treatment Nurse, and Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to address supply requests.Participate in Infection Control Initiatives:Conduct daily oxygen rounds.Replace wash basins, bedpans, and other items monthly.Perform regular environmental inspections.Adhere to Professional Dress Code:Maintain a professional appearance in accordance with facility standards.Assist with Medication Disposal:Support pharmacy returns as needed.Report Safety Hazards:Immediately inform the DSD or charge nurse of any safety concerns.Review Disaster Supplies Monthly:Ensure the kit is fully stocked and items are within expiration dates.Address any missing items promptly and report discrepancies to the DSD.Employ Safe Lifting Techniques:Prioritize safety to prevent injury.Organize Stock Safely:Place heavier items at waist level to minimize risk.Conduct Systematic Environmental Rounds:Regularly inspect the facility.Be Prepared for Urgent Tasks:Address any urgent assignments from the Director of Nursing Services or Administrator..
