Examples of Duties Clinical Patient Care Duties The following duties will be performed under direct supervision of a registered sonographer: Conduct standard sonographic exams on obstetric and gynecologic patients under direct supervision. Prepares patients for ultrasound examination/procedure. Assist attending physician in the performance of obstetric and gynecologic ultrasound guided procedures and examination. Completes the sonographer's portion of the imaging report with accurate information, including CPT codes for billing purposes. Accurately completes Touchworks encounters for billing of ultrasound exams and procedures. Assists with chart prep for the Sonography Unit. Assists with cleaning of ultrasound equipment and exam rooms. Assists with stocking of ultrasound supplies in exam rooms. Rotates through all sites/locations covered by the Central Sonograph
