Job Description: Membership Service Manager Full Time, Fully In Person ABOUT THE ROLE The Membership Service Manager is often the first face our Club members, their families and visitors see and is a dependable presence that helps to create safety and belonging. This role is centered in relationship building, while welcoming members and families, navigating systems , and ensuring that interactions reflect our commitment to inclusion and care. The ideal candidate also brings strong administrative and problem solving skills. WHAT YOU'LL DO Welcome & Front Desk: Be a consistent, trusted presence at the front desk, greeting members and families, managing daily foot traffic, and ensuring check-in/check-out procedures support safety. Manage incoming phone calls with professionalism and route calls appropriately. Vermont Childcare Subsidy : Support families through Vermont's childcare subsidy process, helping to ensure that the Club is accessible to everyone. Plan and manage family engagement events (i.e. open house). Membership & Data Administration : Maintain our KidTrax membership database with accuracy, including member records, program registration (afterschool, summer, and vacation camps), and data needed for Club operations and grant reporting. Manage the Club member registration process. Facilities Coordination: Manage various facilities vendors (i.e. contracted cleaning company, lawn care, fire inspections etc.) to keep our physical spaces safe and welcoming. Club Events: Help plan and run meaningful community events such as the Club Family Winter Dinner and College & Career Fair, celebrating members and strengthening family engagement. Other : Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information. Be helpful team member, as needed. Make financial deposits by using check scanning device. Help ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations and requirements. Other duties as needed. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR Warm, clear communicator with families, children, and colleagues, both in person and in writing Comfortable holding self and others to high standards. Organized and adaptable, comfortable managing multiple priorities simultaneously Trauma-aware approach Independent problem solver, with resourcefulness and strong follow through. Ease in working with databases, Microsoft Office and other software Experience, lived or professional, working with people from diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds, including LGBTQ+ individuals and first-generation college students Must pass a background check, obtain CPR certification and complete required trainings THE DETAILS Location : 100% in-person at 62 Oak Street, Burlington, VT Hours : Full-time, 40 hrs/week | 9:45 AM – 5:45 PM Reports to : Oak Street Program Director Compensation : Range of $23.00–$28.00/hr plus benefits, including 75% employer paid individual health insurance, and 25 days of “combined time off” in first year (pro-rated for mid year start dates), as well as 9 paid holidays About the Boys & Girls Club of Burlington: The Boys & Girls Club is a non-profit organization offering youth a safe place during out-of-school hours, helping them build character, develop leadership, and achieve academic success.
