Welcome Center & Member Services Associate (Part-Time) Location: Sonoma County Family YMCA – Santa Rosa, CA Schedule: Approximately 22 hours/week, Must be available : Tuesday & Wednesday evenings, 4:00pm–8:45pm Pay Rate: $18.21–$19.21/hour Position Summary The Welcome Center & Member Services Associate serves as the first point of contact for all members, guests, and prospective members. This role combines front desk operations with membership services, delivering a high-quality, welcoming experience while supporting membership growth and retention. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a people-focused environment, enjoys building relationships, and can confidently handle both customer service and administrative tasks. Key Responsibilities Greet and assist members, guests, and program participants in person and by phone Provide accurate information about memberships, programs, and YMCA services Build meaningful relationships to support member engagement and retention Conduct tours for prospective members and promote programs and special offerings Process memberships, registrations, and daily transactions accurately Handle and resolve member concerns with professionalism and care Support administrative and clerical tasks as needed Help maintain a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all Qualifications Previous customer service experience required (1+ year preferred) Strong interpersonal and communication skills Comfortable working with diverse populations and building connections Basic to intermediate computer skills; experience with membership systems a plus Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask Cash handling experience preferred Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment Bilingual (Spanish) a plus Must pass DOJ/FBI fingerprint clearance to include sex offender screening Why Work at the YMCA?
