Memorialist/ Sand Blast Apprentice

Job Type:Full-time with overtime regularly available.Job Requirements:Reliable Transportation Must be able to lift and carry at least 50lbs This job is physically demanding and requires you to be able to stand, kneel, stoop, bend, etc.on a regular daily basis Must be capable of standing for extended periods Must have the ability to work in various weather conditions About us Family Craft Memorials, Inc.is a company in Durango, CO.We are hardworking, fun and creative.We are seeking a hardworking, creative, detail oriented, career minded individual for our manufacturing plant in Durango, Colorado.The successful applicant will be expected to apprentice with us full time (40 hours min per week) learning all phases of monument creation- specifically including sandblast carving and our installation process.You must be willing to wear earplugs, respirators and eye protection for long periods.Monument installation is a big part of the job; therefore, the ideal applicant must be willing to work overtime throughout the year when necessary.Our self-starter must be capable of work alone during and after the apprenticeship.The responsibilities of this job include shop maintenance, monument production including stencil application, manipulation and blast prep, sandblast and diamond wheel carving, shape carving, professionalism in the shop and in the cemeteries, and efficiency while installing monuments.Our work environment includes:Safe work environment Casual work attire with stipulations Yearly raise incentives Retirement contributions after completion of your second full year 40 hours paid vacation per year after your first full year Lunch is provided on travel days Supplemental Pay:Accrued sick pay through the Colorado Healthy Families and Workplace Act Holiday Pay Time and a half for overtime This job is physically demanding, and full-time hours are required for this position.We are an at-will employment facility, and you will be subject to a 90-day probationary period upon hire.Job Type:Full-time Pay:From $17.00 per hour Benefits:Paid time off Retirement plan Ability to Commute:Durango, CO 81301 (Required) Ability to Relocate:Durango, CO 81301:Relocate before starting work (Required) Work Location:In person.
