Job Description
Overview I am seeking an individual to join my growing practice. In this role, you will provide comprehensive psychotherapy and counseling services, utilizing evidence-based practices to support clients through various mental health challenges. Common Thread Counseling values remaining a small, relationship-centered practice designed to maintain a supportive, personal atmosphere for both clients and providers. I welcome recent graduates and value curiosity, warmth, clinical insight, and willingness to learn. I offer competitive compensation based on licensure and experience. Responsibilities Provide individual therapy to individuals and/or couples in an outpatient private practice setting Complete timely and accurate clinical documentation, including progress notes, treatment plans, and intake assessments Maintain ethical and professional standards in accordance with licensing board guidelines and HIPAA regulations Develop and maintain a consistent caseload and schedule Utilize evidence-based interventions, including CBT, ACT, Motivational Interviewing, and other appropriate therapeutic approaches Collaborate with clients to establish treatment goals and support progress toward improved emotional well-being Participate in supervision, consultation, and collaboration as appropriate Engage in ongoing professional development as required Skills and Requirements Master’s degree in Counseling or related mental health field or fully licensed clinician eligible to practice in Illinois Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build authentic therapeutic relationships Interest in evidence-based approaches, particularly CBT, ACT, and Motivational Interviewing Interest in working with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, life transitions, perinatal issues, and relationship stressors Strong written communication and documentation skills Openness to feedback, supervision, and continued professional growth Ability to practice independently while also contributing positively to a collaborative team environment Commitment to providing inclusive, compassionate, client-centered care Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Flexible schedule Health insurance Paid time off Professional development assistance Retirement plan Tuition reimbursement Work Location: Hybrid remote in Chicago, IL 60618
