Job Summary Join our dedicated team as a Medical Facility Cleaner, where your attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness will play a vital role in maintaining a safe, sanitary, and welcoming environment for patients, staff, and visitors.In this energetic role, you will be responsible for ensuring all areas of the healthcare facility meet the highest standards of sanitation and safety.Your efforts will directly contribute to the well-being of everyone who enters the facility, supporting our mission to provide exceptional healthcare services in a clean and healthy setting.This position consists of Mon-Fri 6 hours per night with weekends off and most holidays.Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning and disinfecting of patient rooms, exam rooms, hallways, restrooms, and common areas using approved cleaning agents and techniques.Follow strict OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.Conduct routine sanitation procedures including trash removal, floor care (mopping, sweeping, buffing), and surface cleaning to prevent infection spread.Maintain proper documentation of cleaning activities and report any safety hazards or maintenance issues promptly.Use environmental services equipment such as floor buffers, scrubbers, and vacuum cleaners effectively to ensure optimal cleanliness.Adhere to hospital-specific protocols for infection control and biohazard disposal practices.Support overall janitorial operations by stocking supplies and maintaining cleaning carts in an organized manner.Experience Prior janitorial or custodial experience in healthcare or hospital settings is highly preferred.Familiarity with OSHA standards related to workplace safety and hazardous materials handling.Experience with environmental services or commercial cleaning is advantageous.Knowledge of floor care techniques including stripping, waxing, polishing, and carpet cleaning.Previous experience working in medical facilities or similar environments demonstrates understanding of sanitation requirements.Join us in creating a clean, safe environment that promotes health and healing!
