Metrology Technician I Department: Quality Division: Operations At Daniel Defense, Only the Best Build the Best Daniel Defense engineers and manufactures the worlds finest weapon systems and accessories. As Metrology Technician I you will be responsible for the functions outlined below. Essential Functions: Responsible for demonstrating commitment to and leadership of environmental health and safety principles, policies and procedures. Must be efficient with the use of various metrology equipment, including but not limited to CMM, Micro-Vu, and Zeiss. Support all activities concerning the metrology equipment including troubleshooting, planned maintenance, annual certifications, repairs, upgrades, etc. Assist in performing Gage R&R and First Article Inspections. Assist Supplier Quality Engineers with inspection of new purchased parts. Perform capability studies. Assist in performing and maintaining gage calibration as required. Assist in the investigation of deviations to aid supervisory personnel and management in undertaking corrective actions or recommendations. Participate in weekly toolbox meetings on safety and quality issues. Maintain proper housekeeping of work area; Keep all quality equipment and work surfaces free of oil, grease, clutter, etc. Participates in the companys efforts to continuously improve in Safety, 6S, Quality, Delivery and Productivity.
