Location: UCHealth UCHlth Anschutz Inpt Pavilion, US:CO:Aurora Department: ECMO Program Work Schedule: Full Time, 80.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks) Shift: Days Pay: $131,705 - $210,724 / year. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience This position is an onsite role and does not offer a hybrid or remote option Summary: Manages the daily operations of the Extracorporeal Life Support department to ensure alignment with departmental and organizational objectives. Responsibilities: Assists with developing specific departmental goals, standards, and objectives which directly support the strategic plan and vision of the organization. Manages daily staff assignment, staff relations including performance management, staff satisfaction, and conflict management. Performs and oversees scheduling, recruitment, payroll, and student engagements. Provides direction, orientation, training, coaching, and mentoring to staff. Performs or assists with performance evaluations and disciplinary actions. Performs staff responsibilities as needed to fulfill required service levels. Leads the handling and resolution of complex issues and complaints. Monitors departmental budgets, regulatory compliance, departmental contracts, and vendor relations. Determines and justifies needs for systems/ equipment/ supplies purchases, monitors usage, and oversees proper working order and/or stock supplies. Assesses quality of services delivered and facilitates staff development programs. Ensures staff compliance with departmental and organizational policies, procedures, and protocols. Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in nursing or related health sciences. Preferred: Master's Degree in nursing or related graduate education. Certified Clinical Perfusionist (CCP) or State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), as appropriate to training. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Healthcare Provider Certifications from American Heart Association. Critical care experience. 3 years of clinical experience in the care of ECMO patients. Preferred: 5 years of clinical experience in the care of ECMO and VAD patients. ECMO Coordinator experience. BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire.
