Position Overview CFP is seeking a passionate and engaging Middle School Science Teacher to teach students in grades 6–8 for the 2026–2027 school year. The ideal candidate will create an interactive, inquiry-based classroom environment that fosters curiosity, critical thinking, collaboration, and a love for science. The successful candidate should be comfortable teaching a range of middle school science topics, incorporating laboratory activities, STEM integration, and hands-on learning experiences that connect science concepts to the real world. Key ResponsibilitiesInstruction & Curriculum Teach Middle School Science courses for grades 6–8 Develop engaging lesson plans aligned with Florida standards and CFP curriculum goals Incorporate hands-on labs, experiments, STEM activities, and project-based learning Differentiate instruction to support diverse learning styles and student needs Utilize technology and CFP’s 1:1 digital learning environment effectively Classroom Environment Create a structured, positive, and student-centered classroom culture Maintain strong classroom management and organization Promote laboratory safety and responsible scientific practices Foster collaboration, curiosity, and active participation Student Support & Communication Build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress and development Support students academically, socially, and emotionally Participate in faculty meetings, school events, and professional development activities School Engagement Contribute to the broader school community through clubs, STEM activities, science fairs, or extracurricular involvement Collaborate with colleagues across divisions and departments Support CFP’s mission, values, and commitment to student success QualificationsEducation Bachelor’s degree in Science Education, Biology, General Science, or a related field Master’s degree preferred Experience Prior middle school teaching experience Experience with inquiry-based or hands-on science instruction Independent or private school experience is a plus Skills & Attributes Strong communication and classroom management skills Passion for middle school education and STEM learning Ability to inspire curiosity and student engagement Flexible, collaborative, and growth-oriented mindset What We OfferBenefits Health insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance Retirement plan Professional Growth Ongoing professional development opportunities Collaborative and supportive leadership team Opportunities for innovation and program development Pay: From $45,000.00 per year Work Location: In person
