Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled MIG Fluxcore Welder to join our dynamic fabrication and manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing high-quality welding operations on various metal components, primarily utilizing MIG (Metal Inert Gas) and FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding) techniques. Your expertise in sheet metal, pipe threading, and blueprint reading will ensure precision and adherence to safety standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to large-scale construction, fabrication, and assembly projects, supporting the creation of durable structures and equipment. Responsibilities Perform MIG welding using FCAW process on diverse materials including sheet metal, ductwork, and structural components Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute fabrication tasks Operate power tools, hand tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment safely and efficiently Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers to ensure accurate cuts and welds Conduct rigging, assembly, and mechanical tasks involving pipe threading, soldering, and machining operations Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to all safety protocols related to construction site environments Collaborate with team members on projects involving crane operation, forklift handling, or other heavy equipment as needed Skills Extensive construction site experience with a strong understanding of safety procedures Proficiency in MIG welding techniques with a focus on FCAW; experience with TIG welding is a plus Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment Knowledge of ASME codes & standards relevant to welding and fabrication practices Mechanical knowledge including pipe threading, assembly, rigging, soldering, and machining processes Familiarity with sheet metal work, ductwork fabrication, and construction-related welding applications in Sunnyvale, TX or similar environments Ability to perform basic math calculations essential for measurements and quality control in fabrication tasks Experience operating forklifts or other heavy machinery safely within a manufacturing or construction setting Bilingual a plus.
