Job Description
Position Title: Millwright Department: Millwright Location: 4737 Toomes Road, Salida, CA 95368 We are currently hiring an experienced Millwright to join our team. We are seeking a dependable, motivated individual with strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience working with industrial equipment and machinery. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical systems and production equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and capable of working both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. JOB SUMMARY Millwrights are responsible for maintaining plant machinery, company grounds, and buildings to ensure plant longevity and smooth operations that support production goals. Depending on level, Millwrights may perform basic maintenance, complex repairs, and/or lead and train other Millwrights. These positions serve the organization by enabling high levels of production and maintaining a safe, efficient, and positive work environment. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Duties and Responsibilities can differ based on level of Millwright) All Levels (I–III): Read, interpret, and follow blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to assemble equipment and products. Utilize a variety of handheld tools. Perform preventative maintenance and repairs to machinery, equipment, and facilities. Follow all safety procedures, report hazards, and participate in safety programs. General Duties Perform maintenance tasks on equipment and machinery. Assist with and complete assembly, troubleshooting, repair, and installation activities. Conduct basic, general, and complex mechanical maintenance work. Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment and system issues. Perform repairs independently or under supervision, depending on complexity. Support preventive maintenance and operational reliability efforts. Train, assist, and mentor less experienced employees as needed. Follow established safety procedures, maintenance standards, and operational guidelines.
