Mixer/Blender - Production Assistant

Key job responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Read, understand and correctly execute recipes. Retrieve required ingredients from storage, following FIFO (First in First Out), and transport them to production area. Accurately weigh ingredients to meet batch requirements using a digital scale, and then load them into mixing equipment in the proper order. Mix ingredients per recipe. Package and label product after mixing is complete. Return unused ingredients to proper storage areas. Clean and sanitize mixing equipment and production area after production runs, and at the end of the day. Maintain accurate and legible production records and documentation. Notify Production Manager of inventory replenishment needs. Follow all plant safety, Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), Allergen Control Program, food defense and food safety procedures. Small scale mixing and blending experience.(Preferred) Food industry experience.(Preferred) Ability to lift up to 50pounds repeatedly. Ability to work in a standing or walking position for entire shift. Ability to work 8:30am to 5:00pm, Monday thru Friday High school or equivalent.(Preferred) Ability to read and write in English. Climate-controlled work environment. This is not a production-line or assembly-line position, but instead involves varied activities that require close attention and precision. Ideal candidates will have the ability to handle the ongoing physical aspects of the position as well as its mental complexity.
