Mobile Mental Health Therapist in Davis County Job pay based on experience Make a Difference Across Diverse Populations: Become a Mental Health Therapist with Beacon Therapy of Utah Beacon Therapy of Utah is seeking a passionate and motivated mental health therapist to join our team, providing mental health services with residents of skilled nursing (SNF) and assisted living (ALF) facilities in Davis County. This position offers a unique opportunity to impact the lives of a diverse clientele. This role focuses on promoting emotional well-being, addressing mental health concerns, and enhancing the quality of life for residents experiencing a range of psychological and social challenges associated with aging, chronic illness, and institutional living. The therapist will work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to provide person-centered care and support. What You'll Do: Conduct individual therapy sessions, addressing a range of mental health concerns. This includes working with facility residents on issues like depression, anxiety, dementia-related behavioral disturbances, adjustment to new environments, and grief, while also supporting individuals in the outpatient setting with their unique challenges. Develop and implement culturally-sensitive treatment plans that are evidence-based and tailored to each client's specific needs and goals. Collaborate with facility staff and other mental health professionals in the outpatient clinic to ensure comprehensive care for all clients. Provide support and education to staff on managing challenging behaviors. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes. Provide education and support to family members regarding their loved one’s mental health. Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, progress notes, and treatment plans in accordance with HIPAA and ethical guidelines. Why Beacon Therapy of Utah? Competitive Compensation: Hourly compensation commensurate with experience ($48-$55/hour); 4 weeks PTO/Sick Leave accrual; Health, dental, and vision insurance for full-time employees (30+hours/week); yearly continuing education stipend of $1500. Qualifications: REQUIRED: Master's degree or higher in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field from an accredited institution. (Please let us know if you are graduating soon from an accredited program) REQUIRED: Active and unrestricted Utah license as a Fully Licensed Clinical Social Worker/Clinical Mental Health Counselor/Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LCSW/CMHC/LMFT). Strong clinical skills and experience working with diverse populations. Knowledge of evidence-based therapy modalities, such as CBT, DBT, ACT, or TF-CBT. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse populations. Strong work ethic and the ability to work independently and collaboratively. Passion for helping individuals achieve mental wellness. Experience working with elderly adults in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting preferred. Knowledge of geriatric mental health conditions preferred. Ability to perform under stressful conditions. Physical Requirements: Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods. Ability to communicate effectively with residents, staff, and families. Ability to use a computer and electronic health record system.
