OverviewJoin our team as a Mosquito Control Technician and become a vital part of protecting communities from mosquito-borne illnesses! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for driving to different residential properties and spraying the property to control mosquitoes.Your efforts will help create safer, healthier outdoor environments by reducing mosquito populations and preventing disease transmission.This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work outdoors, get good exercise, develop valuable skills, and contribute to public health initiatives.Currently hiring full time and part time technicians.Days worked is dependent on weather as the applications cannot be performed on rainy days.Schedule varies depending on routes, typical start times are 7am-8:30am and the day typically ends between 3-5pm.Mon-Fri only, no weekends! Seasonal position from approximately Mid May until the end of August (or mid September if you're interested) Base pay is $20 per hour plus a per house bonus, End of season bonus, and overtime when applicable.Duties Use software to follow routes, track jobs, etc.Apply mosquito control solution using a backpack sprayer.Clean and maintain equipment.Inspect properties for potential mosquito breeding areas, such as standing water or overgrown vegetation.Maintain detailed records of treatments, inspections, and environmental conditions to ensure compliance with safety standards.Drive company vehicles to various work sites while adhering to all safety regulations.Experience and Requirements Prior experience in pest control, lawn care, farming, landscaping, or agriculture is not necessary but is highly desirable.Knowledge practices and the ability to operate hand tools and power tools efficiently.Valid driver's license with a clean driving record to safely operate company vehicles.Familiarity with the use of pest control products and safety protocols related to chemical application.Physical stamina for outdoor work while carrying a 50lb backpack sprayer.Must be 18 years of age or older.Excellent attention to detail for accurate recordkeeping and site inspections.This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to make a tangible impact on public health while developing skills in pest management, land stewardship, and outdoor maintenance.If you're energetic, detail-oriented, and ready to take on a rewarding challenge--apply today!
