This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional with marine or industrial electrical background to expand their technical expertise in motor repair and rewinding. Position Overview: As an Electric Motor Rewinder Apprentice II , you will safely perform electrical data collection, rewinding, and testing of AC/DC electric motors, generators, transformers, and related components. You will assist in verifying and documenting testing data, ensuring that all work meets NAVSEA and company standards. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical proficiency, safety awareness, and a solid understanding of shipyard and industrial repair practices. Key Responsibilities: Perform rewinding of AC/DC motors, generators, armatures, rotors, transformers, and coils with minimal supervision. Conduct electrical verification tests such as core loss, hi-pot, phase balance, rotational direction, and meg-ohm readings. Document all pre- and post-testing results accurately and maintain inspection records. Operate and maintain shop equipment, including sand blasters, parts washers, steam cleaners, and paint booths. Follow shipyard safety procedures including JHA, fire prevention, confined space entry, and electrical safety standards. Properly blank, tag, and label equipment in accordance with NAVSEA Standard Items and WAF procedures. Use and maintain basic and precision to
