Bjorn's Colorado Honey is looking to add 1 new person to join our Mountain Farmer's Market Team located in Breckenridge, Colorado! There are two Breckenridge Farmer's Markets: Every Sunday starting June 7th to September 6th - Hours: 10am - 3pm Every Thursday starting June 18th to September 24th - Hours: 1pm - 5:30pm Prospective employees must be able to commit to ALL markets during the dates listed above Any preplanned events or trips must be preapproved by management! Summary As a Farmer's Market Supervisor / Sales Associate at Björn's Colorado Honey, you will be a vital part of our team, helping to promote and sell Bjorn’s brand honey, bee-based skincare, and CBD products at farmers markets and/or special events throughout the market season. You will need to be active, upbeat, and outgoing. Farmers Market Supervisors work by themselves and are responsible for setting up and tearing down the honey booth at each event and maintaining the booth equipment and inventory throughout the market season. We have a need for 1* Farmers Market Supervisor*, at this time, the job description and pay structure is listed below. * *** Supervisor Responsibilities Work all markets, arriving in a timely manner in order to have the booth fully setup and ready to go at least 15 min. before the market starts Set-up the honey booth according to Björn's Colorado Honey standards and tear it down, by themselves Clock into Gusto one hour before the market begins, for loading and setup, and open a Cash Tracking session in Shopify Arrive to the market with your cash box's full setup and small bills, and have your phone and card readers fully charged Actively sell and sample all products throughout the market, being on your feet all day Assist customers with product inquiries and provide knowledgeable recommendations Engage with customers, guests, and volunteers (and anyone else) at the market in a friendly, outgoing, polite, and intelligent manner Leave the "BEE Right Back" note at your booth and ask another vendor to watch yours if you need to use the bathroom (bring your cash box any time you leave the booth If Shopify does not work, switch to Square to process transactions. Close your cash tracking session at the end of each market. Count your cash and leave $200 worth of change in the cash box. Organize and face bills from that market, then place them in an envelope (provided in your cash box). Write your NAME, DATE, MARKET NAME and AMOUNT OF CASH written on the outside, ( making a note of any discrepancies and cash outflows, such as SNAP coupons and Market Bucks, mostly for Denver markets). Cash drops must be delivered to the Breckenridge Store, weekly or biweekly. Clock out of Gusto one hour after the market ends, allowing time for breakdown and load-out. Monitor inventory, and come to closest local Björn's Colorado Honey store front or storage unit to pick up inventory weekly or bi-weekly depending on the market Engage in periodic inventory counts and report the numbers, at the request of the Björn's Colorado Honey Management Team Have a reliable vehicle that can carry a small pop-up tent, 8-foot foldable table, in addition to inventory (honey and skincare in boxes) Take care of all market equipment and work with Honey Headquarters team if wear and tear occurs on the tent, table, and inventory so those items can be fixed and/or replaced Be able to store two weeks’ worth of inventory at room temperature in a safe location to avoid damaging the products. For this position there is an option to use the Bjorn's Mountain Storage unit located at Buffalo Mountain Storage in Silverthorne. Be able to lift 50 pounds Be outgoing, upbeat, and easy to talk to. Any beekeeping knowledge is a plus, but not needed. Work independently but actively communicate all scheduling changes, absences, questions, and inventory requests with Bjorn's Colorado Honey Management Team.
