Work Shift: Full Time Job Summary The Wellstar Diagnostic Float Team (WEST Team) supports a variety of imaging services across our facilities. Region One includes Kennestone Hospital, North Fulton Hospital, and Windy Hill. As an MRI Technologist for Region One, you will apply your expertise to deliver safe, high-quality imaging and a supportive patient experience at each location you serve. If you prefer a role that avoids routine, lets you use your full skill set, and provides straightforward pay, this could be a strong fit. Pay In return for stepping in where you’re needed most, Float Pool members earn a higher base rate and may be eligible for a float incentive. Schedule & Incentives Multiple shift options available to self-schedule up to 8 weeks in advance Monthly schedule includes 2 Monday shifts, 2 Friday shifts, and 3 weekend shifts (Sat/Sun) This position is eligible for full-time benefits Required Qualifications Education High School Diploma or equivalent Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program Experience Minimum 2 years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist in a hospital setting Certifications ARRT-R (Radiography) ARRT-MR (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) BLS (Basic Life Support) – American Heart Association Core Responsibilities Perform MRI exams and produce diagnostic-quality images per established protocols. Verify orders, collect relevant clinical history, complete MRI safety screening, and assess contraindications. Confirm patient identity per policy; ensure accurate documentation, labeling, and required markers. Prepare patients for exams; explain procedures using AIDET and maintain privacy, comfort, and dignity.
