Medical Nail Technician Job Description Job Overview DD Podiatry is a podiatry office in Bethesda, MD and McLean, VA specializing in nail and skin disorders of the feet. We offer medical and cosmetic treatments. We are seeking a motivated Nail Technician to join us. As a Nail Technician, you will be responsible for delivering medical pedicure services while maintaining a sterile and relaxing environment for the patient. On the job training is available. Responsibilities Provide various services including medical pedicures and nail restorations Maintain cleanliness and sterilization of tools. Maintain a clean and inviting room. Perform preliminary evaluations for common nail conditions necessitating a doctor’s consultation Stay updated on the latest trends in nail care and techniques Maintain patient records after service is performed Educate patients on proper nail care and maintenance to help promote healthy nails. Assist in marketing and patient acquisition Collaborate with doctor to create and share medical content for patients Experience Valid cosmetology license or certification in nail technology Ability to commute to Bethesda, MD and McLean, VA Strong customer service skills Willingness to learn about combining cosmetic nail techniques with healthcare standards Knowledge of surgical sterilization of instruments is a plus A positive attitude and desire to build something great that will help many patients Job Type: Full-time Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour Benefits Dental insurance Health insurance Vision insurance Experience: Nail care: 1 year (Preferred) License/Certification: Cosmetology License (Preferred) Nail Technician License (Preferred) Work Location: In person
