In this energetic role, you will operate various types of vehicles—including shuttle buses, limousines, and paratransit vans—to transport clients to medical appointments, community events, and other destinations. Responsibilities Safely operate shuttle buses, limousines, paratransit vans, and other commercial vehicles to transport clients efficiently and securely. Assist passengers with boarding and exiting vehicles, providing exceptional customer service with a friendly attitude. Conduct routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety standards are met at all times. Navigate routes effectively using GPS or maps, adhering to schedules and traffic laws. Handle heavy lifting when assisting clients with mobility devices or luggage, ensuring comfort and safety. Communicate clearly with dispatchers, clients, and team members to coordinate pickups and drop-offs seamlessly. Maintain accurate logs of trips, mileage, fuel usage, and vehicle condition reports for operational efficiency. Qualifications Valid driver’s license appropriate for the vehicle type (e.g., CDL for bus driving or limousine license). Proven experience in shuttle driving, delivery driving, bus driving, or as a limousine or driver. Strong communication skills to interact professionally with diverse clients and team members. Experience with paratransit services or commercial driving is highly desirable. Ability to perform heavy lifting when needed for passenger assistance or luggage handling. Knowledge of vehicle maintenance basics to identify issues early and ensure safety. A clean driving record demonstrating responsible driving habits; previous school bus or heavy vehicle experience is a plus. What You’ll Do Transport patients safely and on time** to medical appointments, discharges, urgent care visits, and other medical-related transportation needs. Operate with professionalism and empathy** when interacting with patients, families, and healthcare staff. Adhere to all safety protocols** and company policies, including vehicle inspection and maintenance checks. Coordinate with dispatch and support teams** to ensure timely pickups and arrivals. Document trips accurately** in the required systems; report any incidents or delays per procedure. Assist patients as needed** with boarding, securing mobility devices, and wheelchair assistance as allowed by policy and certification.
