Full time or Part time Highly reputable wheelchair van transportation company looking for NEMT drivers to transport customers from senior homes, hospitals, private homes, and nursing facilities to medical appointments, hospitals, special events, other facilities. · Part-time or full time based on need and performance as well as scheduling availability. Work may be performed on weekdays starting in morning or in afternoon shift, based on availability. Some weekends may be available - flexibility with scheduling is important. · Most rides originate in Montgomery County MD, must be over 25 years of age with clean driving record per insurance requirements . · Important qualities: A friendly and caring personality is a big plus, ability to problem-solve, being able to listen and learn, communicate with customers and dispatcher, attention to details. · The ideal candidate has to reside within a reasonable commute (35 min or less) to Gaithersburg MD where work will start daily. · Must have own smartphone, phone earpiece, and comfortable taking instructions from a dispatcher, using Google Maps or Waze and communicate by text or phone are a must. · Previous experience transporting wheelchair passengers is not necessary but highly preferred . >Reply to this post with either a summary of your job history or resume for fast consideration.< VETERANS, FIREFIGHTERS, POLICE OFFICERS, WHEELCHAIR VAN AND AMBULANCE DRIVERS, FIRST RESPONDERS ARE STRONGLY ENCOURAGED TO APPLY Work Remotely No Responsibilities Safely operate a wheelchair van to transport passengers with mobility challenges. Provide exceptional customer service by assisting passengers in boarding and disembarking. Ensure the vehicle is well-maintained and report any mechanical issues. Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving. Communicate effectively with passengers and dispatch to ensure timely pickups and drop-offs. Safely load passengers with mobility challenges. Summary As a Driver for our Wheelchair Van service, you will be essential in providing safe and reliable transportation for individuals with mobility challenges. Reporting to the Transportation Supervisor and Dispatcher. We expect you to maintain vehicle safety while being courteous to customers and staff.
