Piper Companies is seeking a Network Automation Engineer to support a technology-driven organization within the networking and infrastructure industry. The Network Automation Engineer role is ideal for a senior-level professional with deep routing protocol expertise, strong automation and IaC experience, and the ability to lead complex, cross-functional technical programs. Responsibilities of the Network Automation Engineer: Lead and manage large-scale network automation initiatives with a strong focus on BGP and OSPF-driven environments Own technical program delivery across network engineering, automation, and platform teams Drive infrastructure-as-code (IaC) strategies using Terraform and Ansible to standardize and automate network deployments Partner with network engineers and architects to translate complex designs into scalable automation solutions Develop and oversee Python-based automation and orchestration workflows Manage roadmaps, timelines, risks, and dependencies for multiple concurrent programs Ensure reliability, scalability, and operational excellence across network automation efforts Communicate program status, risks, and milestones to senior technical and business stakeholders Qualifications of the Network Automation Engineer : 8+ years of experience in networking, network automation, or infrastructure engineering roles CCNP-level knowledge (or equivalent hands-on expertise) with deep understanding of BGP and OSPF Strong experience with Terraform, infrastructure as code, and configuration management tools Hands-on experience with Ansible for network automation Proficiency in Python scripting for automation and operational tooling Proven experience leading complex technical programs in a TPM or similar leadership role Compensation for the Network Automation Engineer : Salary range: $150,000 – $170,000 depending on experience Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and PTO This job opens for applications on 05/01/2026.
