Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Network Engineer, located in Port Charlotte, FL. The Network Engineer will manage, maintain, and optimize the district's network infrastructure to ensure reliable and secure connectivity. Daily tasks include configuring and supporting network hardware, troubleshooting connectivity issues, designing scalable network solutions, and implementing security measures to protect the district’s technology systems. The role collaborates closely with IT teams, educators, and administrators to support the district's technology needs and goals. Qualifications Proficiency in Network Administration, including monitoring and maintaining network systems Strong technical expertise in Network Engineering and Network Design Advanced skills in Troubleshooting for diagnosing and resolving networking issues effectively Comprehensive knowledge of Network Security measures and practices Familiarity with hardware components such as routers, switches, and firewalls Excellent technical communication and problem-solving abilities Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred Industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent are an advantage Experience in school districts or large-scale educational environments is a plus
