Job Description
We are seeking a hands-on Network Field Technician with a solid foundation in Cisco networking (CCNA-level knowledge preferred) to support ongoing infrastructure deployments within a large hospital in Brooklyn, NY. This is a fully onsite role requiring daily presence — ideal for someone who enjoys physical, field-based work rather than desk-based configuration tasks. Key Responsibilities: Rack, mount, and install network switches and related hardware Run, terminate, label, and organize network cabling Support deployments in IDF/MDF closets across the facility Assist with patching network connections and verifying connectivity Maintain clean and organized network closets and cabling standards Work closely with engineering and deployment teams on-site Requirements: Basic to intermediate Cisco networking knowledge (CCNA or equivalent experience preferred) Experience with structured cabling and hardware installations Comfortable working in network closets and active hospital environments Ability to lift equipment, work on feet, and handle physical tasks throughout the day Strong attention to detail and organization skills Reliable and able to work onsite daily in Brooklyn, NY Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience in hospital or healthcare environments Familiarity with IDF/MDF setups and cable management best practices Work Environment: This role is highly physical and field-oriented. The majority of work will take place in network closets and operational hospital areas — not at a desk or terminal. Compensation & Schedule: Competitive hourly rate 55.00/hour – contract to hire Full-time, onsite schedule Monday through Friday – 9am to 5pm.
