Job Overview The Network Operations Engineer will be responsible for the evaluation, design, development, testing, implementation, support, maintenance, and documentation of the network infrastructure and IT environment to ensure overall network and system availability. The ideal candidate needs to have a strong understanding of network infrastructure and network hardware. He/she also needs to be able to implement, administer, and troubleshoot network devices including WAPs, firewalls, routers, switches, and controllers. A deep knowledge of application transport and network infrastructure protocols is highly desired. Technical Responsibilities: Troubleshoot issues across networking, systems, and basic power infrastructure domains, including UPS configuration, power distribution, and standard datacenter power connectors (e.g. 20A and 30A circuits) Diagnose and resolve physical layer outages, including device failures, boot issues, cabling faults, and power-related problems Install, rack, cable, and maintain network infrastructure and associated equipment Triage and resolve tickets related to network infrastructure and cabling issues Serve as an on-site resource for networking infrastructure and related physical systems Troubleshoot and replace network hardware as needed Manage inventory in accordance with our standards Act as remote hands and eyes for engineering teams during deployments and incident response We are looking for: Hands-on experience with wired, optical, and wireless networking equipment Understanding of Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking concept Familiarity with basic network troubleshooting and device bring-up Experience working with ticketing systems such as Jira or similar tools Ability to work independently and manage on-site priorities effectively Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to troubleshooting Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills Ability to maintain a regular on-site presence based on an agreed schedule Skills Experience with rack and stack, structured cabling, and hardware lifecycle management Experience supporting office, lab, or datacenter environments Familiarity with inventory management and spare parts tracking Exposure to enterprise networking environments and tooling Compensation Estimated Pay Range: $60.00 hr. $70.00 hr. USD Exact compensation and offers of employment are dependent on circumstances of each case and will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, licenses or certifications, and location.
