Required Qualifications Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Neurology residency training program and Board Certified or Board Prepared with the American Board of Medical Specialties or American Osteopathic Association ABMS certification or eligibility for certification in Neuromuscular Medicine Licensed or ability to obtain Minnesota Board of Medical Practice Licensure Ability to obtain and / or maintain DEA certification for the State of Minnesota Meet threshold criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and Privileges. Excellent teaching and interpersonal skills Note: This position is not eligible for applicants requiring a J1 visa waiver. The Department of Neurology at the University of Minnesota and UMPhysicians is recruiting a full-time neuromuscular neurologist. We are seeking a neuromuscular medicine-certified physician with a strong academic focus. Position Duties/Responsibilities The position requires a substantial role in seeing a diverse spectrum of neuromuscular patients interested in training medical students, residents and fellows. As part of a multi-disciplinary team, this position will provide outpatient neuromuscular services on the University campus and community clinics, including the following: o Disease-state focused clinics, to include multidisciplinary clinics o General neuromuscular clinic o EMG Limited inpatient call coverage is expected.
