General Summary of Position This is for a New Graduate Registered Nurse Position on the Short Stay Unit at MedStar Good Samaritan Hospital. Unit Highlights The Short Stay/Observation Unit provides skilled nursing care for acutely ill patients placed in observation status, and acutely ill patients admittedwith various diseases such as arrhythmias, chest pain, syncope, Congestive Heart Failure, and pacemakers, as well as other medical surgical conditions. The unit consist of 32 beds and average patientstay is 24-48 hours. Gain great experience in a fast-paced environment and advance your telemetry skills. Key Responsibilities As a Clinical Nurse, you will provide skilled, compassionate care to patients and families across a spectrum of needs-from routine to highly complex. You will assess evolving patient conditions, identify actual and potential health concerns, and develop appropriate care plans.
