About The Role We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled IT professional to join our dynamic team in the role of IT Support Specialist. In this position, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and ensuring the smooth operation of IT systems within our organization. Qualifications The ideal candidate should have a bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP) are highly desirable. Prior experience of at least 2 years in an IT support or helpdesk environment is preferred. Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems, network configurations, and troubleshooting tools is essential. Excellent communication skills, a proactive attitude, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team are also key requirements for this role. Responsibilities As an IT Support Specialist, your primary responsibilities will include diagnosing and resolving technical issues related to hardware, software, and network systems. You will assist end-users with technical problems, provide timely solutions, and escalate complex issues to higher-level support when necessary. Maintaining and updating documentation of support tickets, system configurations, and procedures is vital to ensure efficient operations. You will also participate in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of IT equipment and software, ensuring all systems are secure and compliant with organizational policies. Additionally, you will contribute to the development of user training materials and conduct training sessions to improve overall technical literacy within the organization. Monitoring system performance, performing routine maintenance, and managing backups are also part of your core duties.
