GENERAL JOB SUMMARY Duties to include, but are not limited to the following: Follow the facility policy and procedures as written and communicate any needed changes regarding policy and procedures to the administrator. Complete employee education courses as assigned by Administrator Keep the residents’ family and friends informed and involved in the residents’ condition and well-being. Implement each resident’s service plan as written, and follow standards Communicate appropriate information to your supervisor. Perform incontinent care for residents as needed. Attend staff meetings at a minimum of 1 x per month. Assist in the preparation and delivery of the resident’s meals and snacks. Follow the designed menu for residents’ preferences. Assist with the answering of phones and general family and resident communication and questions. Be aware of resources and how to obtain information regarding residents. Complete housekeeping duties as assigned. Provide laundry services as appropriate for the residents. Provide residents with various activity opportunities throughout the shift and per the established activities calendar. Follow task lists as assigned Perform all other duties as assigned EDUCATION: Must have sufficient communication and language skills to enable you to perform your duties and communicate with residents, other staff, family members, health care professionals, etc. as needed. Oregoncarepartners.com classes must be completed before hitting the floor. WORK EXPERIENCE: Previous experience caring for the memory care population is preferred. WORK CONDITIONS: Works indoors on mostly vinyl and wood, some carpeting. Adequate lighting and ventilation is provided. Potential risk for falling residents, heavy lifting. Works daily with a variety of staff, residents, and families. RESPONSIBILITIES: Carry out all tasks and directions in a timely and efficient manner to provide the best quality service for our residents. Responsible to assure that all resident care needs are met and resident information is kept confidential. You must be responsible not to involve resident’s family or friends in your personal life.
