J-R Transport Solutions LLC is hiring a dependable and motivated hot shot driver to haul freight throughout the Midwest and surrounding states using a diesel pickup and gooseneck trailer. Responsibilities Safely operate a box truck or similar vehicle to deliver goods across designated routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations Load and unload cargo using manual lifting techniques, pallet jacks, forklifts (if certified), or other equipment as needed Provide excellent customer service by communicating professionally with clients during deliveries and pickups Plan efficient routes to maximize productivity and meet delivery deadlines Assist with warehouse tasks such as inventory management, moving items, and organizing shipments when not on route Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to ensure safety standards are maintained Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and load/unload records for accountability and reporting purposes Safely transport freight to customers on time Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections Properly secure loads Maintain communication during trips Follow DOT safety regulations Keep equipment clean and well maintained Skills Proven experience in delivery driving, courier services, or warehouse logistics with a focus on route driving and customer interaction Strong knowledge of driving a box truck or similar commercial vehicle with manual transmission Ability to lift heavy loads repeatedly while maintaining safety protocols during loading/unloading activities Excellent customer service skills with clear communication and professionalism Familiarity with warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts (certification preferred) Ability to navigate using GPS or route planning tools efficiently Dependable work ethic with attention to detail in load securing, safety checks, and documentation Qualifications Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred but not required depending on experience/setup) Clean driving record Towing and trailer experience preferred Ability to stay out on the road when needed Strong communication and reliability What We Offer Weekly pay Percentage-based earnings with strong income potential Truck and trailer provided Fuel card provided Dispatch support Flexible home time based on loads Opportunity to grow with the company Preferred Experience Hot shot trucking Flatbed or gooseneck hauling Load securement OTR driving Schedule Monday–Friday Weekend availability optional depending on loads OTR / Regional routes Apply Today Apply directly through Indeed or text/call: 402-871-1166.
