Scheduled Hours 40 Position Summary Prepares, measures, and administers radiopharmaceuticals in diagnostic and therapeutic studies, utilizing a variety of equipment and following prescribed procedures. Job Description Primary Duties & Responsibilities: Performs nuclear medicine imaging and therapy (preparing the dose, administration, camera QC, etc.). Primary liaison to PI in developing plans for research projects that includes nuclear medicine studies and discussing the interpretation of results; collaborates in the preparation of manuscripts for publication and preparation of grant/trial proposals to sponsoring entities; assists in the preparation of study budgets, amendments to protocols, and/or modifications to study design as appropriate. Responsible for the development of forms, questionnaires, and the application of research techniques; assists in writing instructional procedure manuals for study progress, data collection and coding, transfer of data, and maintenance of databases in accordance with research protocols and regulatory procedures. Reviews journals, abstracts, and scientific literature and attends scientific meetings, when possible, to keep abreast of new developments and to obtain information regarding previous studies to aid in the planning of new studies. In conjunction with PI, designs, implements, and manages all phases of study/protocol; ensures compliance with protocol guidelines and requirements of regulatory agencies. Prepares/submits new and renewal research applications to WUSM regulatory bodies (PRMC, HRPO, RDRC). Identifies problems and/or inconsistencies and monitors participants' progress to include documentation and reporting of adverse events; resolves IRB/protocol management issues and recommends corrective action as appropriate.
