Nurse Manager Place of Performance: Washington, DC General Description: Nurse Manager oversee administrative, compliance, and overhead requirements. Specific Tasks Provide comprehensive ambulatory nursing services to enhance patients' overall wellness and address workplace health-related needs, including acute conditions and chronic illnesses. Provide expert health care services and programs. Manage the Day-to-Day Operation of the Wellness Center. Delivers a wide range of health care, administrative, and operational services. Collaborate with the OSHE branch team members on operational assignments, tasks, and various safety, health, and wellness activities and events. Oversee the annual flu vaccine campaign, leading efforts to order vaccine supplies and coordinate promotional messaging for the clinic. Manage and dispense medications in accordance with a pre-approved formulary, ensuring compliance with established guidelines. Including inventorying and replenishing supplies and medications on a cyclic schedule, as needed. Facilitate and track referrals, transfers, and consultations for patient health issues that exceed the scope of practice or require expert intervention. Maintain and protect confidential employee health records per Departmental guidelines, including preparing performance metrics related to visits, injuries, immunizations, and accommodations. Oversee the Wellness Center’s operations, conducting physical inspections to ensure all equipment and systems are functional and managing the administrative functions for effective service delivery. Promote compliance with regulatory and contractual standards, ensuring customer service expectations are met in all clinical care aspects. Contribute to the quality assurance program by planning for periodic external compliance audits of the Wellness Center. Manage the lactation facilities, scheduling and collaborates with the Medical Officer for review requests for disabled parking permits specific to this location. Manage and coordinate the building-wide Automated External Defibrillator (AED) program which includes conducting monthly inspections and replacing key components for 31 AED units. Organize regular AED/CPR training for employees, conducting monthly inspections, and replacing key components as needed. Provide critical nursing support for high-level secretarial events, such as the annual July 4th celebration, ensuring the health and safety of all attendees. Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited nursing program in the United States or Canada. Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in a State, the District of Columbia, or a U.S. territory. Minimum of four (4) years of clinical nursing experience, with at least one (1) year in an ambulatory or occupational health setting preferred. Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory or lead nursing experience (e.g., Charge Nurse, Lead RN, Clinical Supervisor). Demonstrated experience managing day-to-day clinic or wellness center operations. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers. Ability to meet federal facility suitability, credentialing, and security requirements.
