Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Nurse to join our team for double weekend shifts at a skilled nursing facility (SNF). Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive patient assessments, vital signs monitoring, and physical examinations to ensure optimal health status. Administer medications and injections accurately, including IV infusions and other advanced therapies such as botulinum toxin treatments. Manage airway care, ventilator support, catheterization, and sterile procedures following aseptic techniques. Document all patient interactions, medical records, and treatment plans using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Epic or Cerner. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams on discharge planning, case management, and coordination of post-acute care services. Provide specialized dementia, Alzheimer's, memory care, and behavioral health support tailored to residents with complex needs. Respond promptly to urgent medical situations such as acute pain episodes or infectious disease concerns, utilizing triage skills and emergency protocols. Qualifications Valid nursing license with current registration in the state of practice. Proven experience in long-term care facilities, hospitals (including ICU or trauma centers), or emergency medicine settings. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth is preferred. Knowledge of ICD coding (ICD-9/10), CPT coding, and medical documentation standards. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental delays is advantageous. Strong understanding of physiology, anatomy, pharmacology, and infection control practices. Ability to perform venipuncture, IV insertion, tube feeding management, and basic life support (BLS). Join us in providing exceptional care during double weekend shifts!
