Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team. In this vital role, you will deliver comprehensive patient care across various settings, including outpatient clinics, inpatient units, and specialized care environments. Your expertise will help improve patient outcomes through thorough assessments, evidence-based treatments, and collaborative care planning. Duties Conduct detailed physical examinations and patient assessments to determine health status and develop personalized care plans. Manage acute and chronic conditions across multiple specialties such as internal medicine, geriatrics, pediatrics, emergency medicine, and behavioral health. Perform procedures including suturing, IV infusion, catheterization, spinal taps, dermal fillers, and esthetic laser treatments with precision and adherence to sterile techniques. Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Jane or Prompt documentation of patient encounters and medical records. Administer medications via injections or IVs while ensuring proper medication management in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Provide triage services in urgent care or telehealth settings to evaluate patient needs quickly and effectively. Assist with diagnostic evaluations using sonography or medical imaging techniques; interpret results for clinical decision-making. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals on discharge planning, case management, utilization review, and compliance with NCQA standards. Educate patients on health coaching topics including nutrition, family planning, memory care, and disease prevention strategies. Experience Proven experience working in diverse clinical environments such as hospitals (Level I & II trauma centers), ICUs (including PICU), emergency rooms, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or outpatient clinics. Demonstrated proficiency in using EMR/EHR systems for comprehensive medical documentation and coding (CPT/ICD-10/ICD-9). Critical care experience including ventilator management, airway management, dialysis procedures, or ICU experience is highly valued. Skilled in performing invasive procedures such as venipuncture, phlebotomy, tube feeding placement, sterile processing techniques, and basic life support certification. Experience working with special populations such as pediatric patients (including neonatal ventilator use), geriatric patients with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral health needs. Knowledge of Workers' Compensation law and utilization management practices is a plus. Previous involvement in clinical research or teaching hospital settings enhances your candidacy. Strong understanding of physiology knowledge combined with excellent patient assessment skills to deliver high-quality primary care or specialty services.
