Job description Nurse Practitioner (NP) - Wound Care WoundMendersMDLocation:Los Gatos, CA (Mobile / Field-Based)Schedule:Part-Time - Starting 1-2 Days Per Week (Opportunity to Grow to More Days as Patient Volume Increases) Compensation:$130-$145k About WoundMendersMD WoundMendersMD is a specialized wound care provider focused on delivering advanced wound care directly to patients in convenient settings such as homes and assisted living facilities.Our mission is to improve healing outcomes through compassionate care, advanced treatment methods, and coordinated patient management.Position Overview WoundMendersMD is seeking a Part-Time Nurse Practitioner (NP) to provide mobile wound care services in and around Los Gatos, California.This role will begin 1-2 days per week, with the opportunity to expand as the practice grows and patient demand increases.The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently, managing wound care patients, and collaborating with physicians and facility staff to ensure optimal healing outcomes.Key Responsibilities Perform comprehensive wound assessments and treatment planning Provide advanced wound care management, including debridement and grafting when appropriate Develop and implement individualized treatment plans Document patient care using electronic medical records (EMR) Collaborate with clinical directors, home health agencies, and facility staff Educate patients and caregivers on wound care management and prevention Monitor wound healing progress and adjust treatment plans as needed Ensure compliance with clinical and regulatory standards Qualifications Active California Nurse Practitioner License Board Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Adult-Gerontology NP Minimum 1 year of clinical experience preferred Experience in wound care, home health, geriatrics, or primary care preferred Ability to work independently in a mobile healthcare environment Strong clinical decision-making and patient communication skills Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Preferred Qualifications Exposure to Woundcare is a plus Knowledge of mobile or home-based healthcare models Familiarity with EMR documentation systems What We Offer Flexible part-time schedule Opportunity to grow with a developing practice Supportive clinical environment and Woundcare Training & certification Competitive compensation (based on experience) Potential for expanded schedule and long-term growth Malpractice Insurance is Provided Job Types:Part-time, PRN, Locum tenens Pay:$130,000.00 - $145,000.00 per year Experience:Wound care:1 year (Preferred) Home health:1 year (Preferred) License/Certification:Nurse Practitioner License (Required) Work Location:On the road.
