Job Title: Nurse Supervisor – Behavioral Health Location: Brooklyn, NY Department: Nursing – Behavioral Health Job Type: Direct Hire Schedule: Full-Time | 37.5 Hours per Week Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Nurse Supervisor to lead clinical nursing operations within a Behavioral Health setting. This role is responsible for providing leadership to nursing staff, ensuring high-quality patient care, and maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations and organizational standards. Key Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate daily operations of the Behavioral Health nursing unit Provide leadership, mentorship, and support to nursing and clinical staff Ensure delivery of safe, high-quality patient care in alignment with established policies and standards Manage staffing, scheduling, and workflow for efficient unit operations Collaborate with physicians, multidisciplinary teams, and leadership to enhance patient outcomes Support staff development through training, performance evaluations, and coaching Ensure compliance with state regulations, accreditation standards, and internal procedures Participate in quality improvement initiatives and risk management activities Respond to patient care concerns, emergencies, and escalations as needed Required Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (New York State) Proven experience in Behavioral Health / Psychiatric supervision Education & Experience (one of the following): Master’s Degree in Nursing + 5 years nursing experience (including 3 years in supervisory/teaching role) OR Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing + 6 years nursing experience (including 4 years in supervisory/teaching role) Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills Experience in inpatient behavioral health or psychiatric settings preferred Preferred Qualifications Prior leadership experience in a hospital-based behavioral health unit Experience managing multidisciplinary healthcare teams Knowledge of behavioral health regulations and accreditation standards Key Competencies Leadership and team management Clinical decision-making Communication and interpersonal skills Problem-solving and conflict resolution Organizational and operational efficiency For more details reach at Aditi.sharma@navitashealth.com or Call / Text at 516-587-6677 .
