Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity working with high school students as a full-time Occupational Therapist for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year. Located near Yuma, AZ, this position offers the chance to impact students’ development and success in a supportive educational setting. With a caseload of approximately 65 students, you will provide essential therapeutic services throughout the academic year, from August 4, 2026 through May 27, 2027. There is also the option to extend your impact through potential ESY (Extended School Year) work, should you be interested. Desired Qualifications Valid Occupational Therapist licensure for Arizona (or ability to obtain) Experience with school-based OT services, especially at the high school level Knowledge of IEP processes and documentation requirements Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with students, staff, and families Ability to manage a moderate to large caseload and prioritize diverse needs Passion for supporting student independence and participation in educational activities Key Responsibilities Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services to high school students Assess students’ strengths and needs; develop and implement individualized intervention plans Participate in the IEP process, contributing to meetings and developing goals Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with school and state requirements Work collaboratively with teachers and other related service providers Support students’ motor skills, self-care skills, and sensory processing within the school environment Option to participate in ESY programming if desired Make a tangible difference in the lives of students who need your expertise.
