Job Description
60° North Seafoods is a shore-based seafood processing facility in Cordova, Alaska. We focus on getting quality and sustainable seafood to our clients and customers around the country. You are joining a team of lifelong fishermen and their families to be a part of our 60 North Team. Summary: This position will have a working knowledge of all details to the office processes and policies of 60 North (hiring practices, reporting and documentation required to activate new-hires into the 60N OnPay Online payroll system and successfully run semi-monthly payroll for the facility). This position will provide basic bookkeeping for accounts payable and receivable accounts within the Quickbooks Online software. As part of the administration team this position will lend insight and implementation to growth strategies created as a team. The position reports to the CEO for HR, payroll, bookkeeping, and office management creations focused on efficiency and company growth strategy. The position can also take direction from the managing members from time to time. Office Manager Functions: Document office processes Supports growth creation with Administrative Team Co-creates company culture and implementation HR Payroll Functions: Lists job on applicable websites Supports GM and CEO in setting up interviews Provides hiring, termination and end of season support to the CEO. Compiles and issues HR and Hiring documents to incoming staff and maintains compliance with State and Federal wage and hour regulation. Enters new hires into OnPay. Manages staff payroll garnishments and account set-up with appropriate state disbursement units. Manages semi-monthly timesheet collection and approval. Executes payroll runs including employee deductions. Maintains appropriate documentation for payroll deductions and any change in status for all semi-monthly staff. Bookkeeping Functions : This position is responsible for maintaining customer records and issuing invoices to sales clients. Accounts Manager with sales and accounts receivable reports. Enters Accounts Payable, maintains vendor accounts and provides AP reports when requested. Assists with payments and disbursements as directed. Maintains the office filing system for all AP/AR/Payroll records This position requires a high level of discretion in the protection of sensitive and personal information with regard to employees, sales clients and vendors. Additional Responsibilities : Performs various administrative projects and other tasks as assigned. Light cleaning and organization of the office area. Minimum Required Education And Experience: Education required: High school diploma or GED Experience required: Working with others in a team environment Local Cordova residency for the term of employment Preferred Experience: Customer service experience. Experience working in an office. Computer skills - Mac or PC experience. Square experience. Pay: From $19.00 per hour Benefits Flexible schedule Relocation assistance Work Location: In person
