Please check our residency definition to determine if you qualify.The Division of Juvenile Justice is recruiting to fill an Office Assistant 1 position located in Anchorage at the McLaughlin Youth Center. What you will be doingAs part of the Division of Juvenile Justice administrative support team, this position is the primary receptionist for the McLaughlin Youth Center. The successful applicant will be responsible for providing the following clerical duties: professionally and pleasantly greeting and assisting visitors, staff, and clients; answering a multi-line telephone and efficiently routing calls; maintaining identification badges and key sets for visitors; processing incoming and outgoing mail; setting up interviews and scheduling the conference room; ensuring office supplies and equipment needs are met; and other various administrative support duties.Our organization, mission, and cultureThrough Restorative Justice, we hold juvenile offenders accountable for their behavior; promote the safety and restoration of victims and communities; and assist offenders and their families in developing the skills to prevent crime. We believe in enhancing the strengths of our staff by providing training and promoting professional development.The working environment you can expectThis position is located in the administrative support unit within the McLaughlin Youth Center, which is a 24-hour secure facility located at 2600 Providence Drive in Anchorage. This is a full-time position with work hours from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday.
