Job Overview We are seeking a highly organized Office Assistant to join our team at Metric Motors! We are an automotive machine shop specializing in engine rebuilding. This vital role offers the opportunity to support daily office operations, enhance administrative efficiency, and provide exceptional customer service. Duties Manage front desk operations, greeting visitors and directing them appropriately with professional phone etiquette Answer multi-line phone systems promptly and efficiently, providing excellent customer support and support to team members Perform data entry, filing, and document proofreading to maintain accurate records and ensure document quality Utilize Microsoft Office Suite (Word, outlook) and Google Workspace tools for various administrative tasks Coordinate calendar management and schedule appointments or meetings for staff or executives Assist with bookkeeping using QuickBooks software to support financial record-keeping Support office management activities including supply inventory, organization of files, and general clerical duties Requirements Proven experience in office administration, clerical work or as a receptionist in a professional environment Strong computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook), Google Workspace, and data entry skills Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively and manage time efficiently Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to assist diverse client needs Knowledge of multi-line phone systems, phone etiquette, and customer service best practices Experience with office management software such as QuickBooks or bookkeeping tools is preferred Automotive office experience is a plus but not required Demonstrated attention to detail with proofreading skills and accuracy in typing and data entry tasks Join us to be part of a vibrant team where your organizational talents will shine!
