Job Summary and Qualifications We are seeking an enthusiastic and energetic professional to join us as an Office Coordinator. You will coordinate the scheduling of procedures with the physicians’ offices, prioritize procedures to ensure efficient patient flow and optimum utilization of resources. Additional duties may include You will document scheduling information accurately then monitor, audit and distribute the schedule. You will obtain precertification/authorization numbers and enter them in the scheduling or registration system. You will obtain and enter accurate insurance information. You will answer incoming phone calls. You must communicate with empathy, clearly and concisely with both patients and physicians. Job qualifications include: High school diploma or GED required. Associate degree preferred.· One year of previous healthcare experience is required, scheduling preferred.· Insurance verification and gaining prior authorization experience preferred.· Medical terminology is preferred. Critical thinking, service excellence, good interpersonal communication skills, ability to read/comprehend written instructions, ability to follow verbal instructions, PC skills.
