Alternative Business Furniture is a full-service independent office furniture dealership passionate about serving our customers and seeking like-minded team members.With established clients in Healthcare, Government, and Corporate we continue to grow as a company and are excited about the future.Job Description:We have opportunities in the Laminate / Woodshop departments at our Eden Prairie headquarters.This role will cross-train in all departments to ensure we can provide services to our customers as needed.Position Details: Reports directly to the Woodshop Manager Responsible for manufacturing laminated tabletops. Work with tools, equipment, and machinery.o Many of the tools include cutting, shaping, or adhering materials to complete the manufactured products. Being productive, efficient, and punctual is essential.o Must be capable of performing tasks properly and safely. Follow and understand project schedules and job project information. A background with wood-working equipment is a plus.Personal Requirements Be punctual and reliable. Professional manners and appearance. Polite and patient. Strong communication skills with the ability to interact with co-workers and customers as needed. Ability to lift and move furniture and equipment as much as 75 pounds. Ability to perform physical movements, including squatting, bending, kneeling, twisting, climbing stairs, etc. Self-motivated, hard-working, with attention to detail. Be willing to work overtime. Reliable transportation. Mechanically inclined. Problem-solving skills Spanish / English bilingual skills are a plus.Pay and Benefits: $20-$25 per hour, based on experience.
