Senior Dental Front Office Coordinator Our growing dental practice is looking for a second experienced, confident, and highly organized Senior Front Office Coordinator to lead daily front desk operations and help create an exceptional patient experience from the moment patients walk through our doors. This is not an entry-level front desk position. We are seeking someone who is proactive, dependable, detail-oriented, and capable of handling a fast-paced environment with professionalism and strong leadership skills. The ideal candidate has extensive dental front office experience, understands insurance and scheduling at a high level, communicates exceptionally well with patients, and can help keep the office running smoothly during busy clinical days. What You’ll Be Responsible ForPatient Experience & Communication Welcome patients with warmth, professionalism, and confidence Deliver exceptional customer service in person and over the phone Handle patient concerns professionally and help resolve scheduling or financial issues Build strong relationships with patients and families while maintaining a positive office atmosphere Scheduling & Front Office Leadership Manage and optimize the daily hygiene and doctor schedules Confirm appointments and minimize openings in the schedule Coordinate effectively with doctors, hygienists, assistants, and administrative team members Help maintain smooth patient flow throughout the day Assist with training and supporting front office team members Insurance, Billing & Financial Coordination Verify insurance benefits and eligibility Understand PPO insurance plans and accurately communicate patient benefits Discuss treatment estimates and financial arrangements with patients Process payments and maintain accurate financial records Administrative Responsibilities Maintain accurate patient records in Open Dental Ensure HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality Complete administrative tasks efficiently and accurately Help maintain an organized, professional front office environment Qualifications Minimum 3 years of dental front office experience required Strong understanding of dental insurance and treatment coordination Experience with Open Dental preferred Excellent communication and customer service skills Strong leadership, multitasking, and organizational abilities Ability to stay calm and professional in a busy environment Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license is a plus, but not required What We’re Looking For We are looking for someone who: Takes ownership and solves problems independently Has strong attention to detail Can confidently lead the front office during busy days Communicates professionally with both patients and team members Brings positive energy and reliability to the office every day Benefits Competitive pay based on experience Paid time off Health insurance Vision insurance Opportunities for growth and advancement within the practice Schedule Full-time position Monday–Thursday 1 Saturday per month as needed Occasional flexibility may be needed to complete end-of-day responsibilities If you are an experienced dental professional who thrives in a leadership role and takes pride in delivering an outstanding patient experience, we would love to hear from you.
