Bureau: Disease Prevention and Management | Healthy Communities Full-Time County Contractual Position open to all qualified candidates. Location: 2501 Mountain Road, Pasadena, MD 21122 Hours: 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Benefits: Participation in the County’s group health plan including prescription, dental, and optical, paid holidays and sick leave. Job Description Nature of Work: Provide essential administrative and clerical support at the Magothy Health Center for the Healthy Communities Program, ensuring the seamless delivery of public health services, including immunizations, infectious disease testing and other clinical services. Acting as the primary first-line representative, the position balances high-volume public interaction with meticulous records management and financial accountability. By managing patient intake, coordinating clinical schedules and interpreting agency policies, the role ensures that the facility operates efficiently while maintaining strict confidentiality and compliance with state and county regulations. Bilingual Spanish-speaking individuals are encouraged to apply. Education Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or Equivalency (GED). Experience Prior administrative/secretarial experience. Proficiency with Google Workspace, data entry and customer service. Experience with purchasing, procurement and billing. Must be highly organized and able to prioritize daily activities. Notes Required to possess a motor vehicle operator's license valid in Maryland and able to drive and operate a vehicle, with mileage reimbursement provided per Department of Health polices. Required to work day shift, evening shift and weekends as needed, and be able to stand, walk, bend and lift 25 lbs. Desired Or Preferred Qualifications Excellent organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple phone lines and prioritize multiple tasks. Comfortable working with diverse clientele from a multitude of backgrounds. Nonjudgmental and open-minded. Comfortable talking about testing and treating STIs and working in a clinical setting. Bilingual candidates in English and Spanish are encouraged to apply.
