NKSP-North Kern State Prison 2d ago 2 days ago Job Description:Effective July 1, 2025, in accordance with the applicable Memorandum of Understanding, the Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025) was implemented.PLP 2025 requires each full-time employee in Bargaining Unit 4, and related Excluded, Exempt and Statutory Exempt employees, will have their base salary reduced by 3 percent and will receive 5 PLP 2025 leave credits monthly through June 2027.Salaries do not reflect the recent changes.Part-time employees are subject to the same conditions as full-time employees, on a prorated basis equivalent to their time-base.Permanent intermittent employees are subject to the same condition as full-time employees, based on the number of hours worked in the pay period.This is the advanced journey level which regularly performs a variety of the most difficult duties and is expected to consistently exercise a high degree of initiative, independence and originality in performing assigned tasks.Positions at this level regularly require detailed and sensitive public contact and/or independent origination of correspondence involving the knowledge and application of detailed regulations, policies and procedures (e.g., positions such as secretaries to major division chiefs and one-person field office assignments comprised of a wide variety of responsibilities).Good judgment and the ability to communicate effectively is of primary importance at this level.Typically, the work at this level is rarely reviewed.In addition, positions may have responsibility for functional guidance in training and assisting less experienced employees.Please note:Individuals who are eligible for a Training and Development assignment may also be considered for this position(s).Job Details:Job Details Table Classification 1139-OFFICE TECHNICIAN (TYPING) Number of positions 2 Position Number 182-220-1139-XXX Job Control Number 510603 Final Filing Date 03-19-2026 Program Mental Health Job type Full-time Salary Range USD 3,829 to 4,794 per month.
