Role: Oil & Gas GIS Engagement Lead (LCON) Location: Houston, Tx-Hybrid Duration : Long Term Contract Job Description Professional Summary 10+ years of GIS industry experience Experience in Solution Design, capacity planning, infrastructure recommendations for Large Utility Clients Defined processes, tools, etc. for Project transition to Support. Lead the overall ArcGIS Utility Network architecture for fiber Design the physical fiber data model (cables, strands, splice points, devices) Define domain networks, tiers, subnetworks, rules, and associations Design redundancy, path diversity, and automated impact analysis Define area classification and industrial constraint modeling Establish global naming conventions and modeling standards Evaluate ESRI compatible third-party fiber tools (NetTerrain used as reference input) Produce design and architecture documentation Existing ESRI Utility Network deployment Fiber network scope: Backbone + Distribution Physical fiber modeling (cables, strands, splices) Mid span and enclosure splicing included Data sources: New build fiber only, provided as CAD (.dwg/.dxf) and KMZ files Mandatory Technical Skills (minimum 2 skillset) ArcGIS Pro 3.x, Fiber Network Utility, ESRI Geodatabase a. Data Management (Mandatory) b. Fiber Network Data Models c. ArcGIS Utility Network d. Network connectivity, associations, and tracing rules e. Spatial Analyst f. Editor g. Version h. Analysis Toolset – Proximity, etc. (Mandatory) i. Data Reviewer j. Data Governance, QA/QC.
