Job Description Get Involved! Samaritan's Purse is seeking an On-Call Mission Support Specialist to join our Mission Aviation Services department in Greensboro, NC! In this versatile role, you'll perform tasks across all aspects of Mission Support with a focus on Ground Support Equipment (GSE) maintenance. Come use your gifts and talents to advance the Gospel! A day in the life of an On-Call Mission Support Specialist: At Samaritan's Purse, the Gospel really is the center of all we do! We start each day with a time of devotions and spend time praying for each other, our staff, and volunteers who serve around the globe. In the role of On-Call Mission Support Specialist , you will have the opportunity to: Maintain your personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be an effective witness for Him. Maintain and repair GSE, to include vehicles, tugs, aircraft loaders, forklifts, etc., in support of all users of the equipment. Operate all GSE and warehouse equipment needed to support Airlift Response Center operations. Augment the Loadmaster team during aircraft missions to include offloading freight from trucks and loading aircraft. Aid in warehouse operations to include the shipping and receiving of parts, supplies, and equipment as well as conducting inventory counts. All other duties as assigned. Qualifications & Experience Associate's Degree from a college or technical college, and ten (10) or more years related experience maintaining ground support equipment in an operation involving transport category aircraft; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Advanced mechanical knowledge of vehicles, machinery, and tools required. Strong safety and service-oriented mindset with the ability to maintain professionalism and demonstrate a capable, friendly, and confident demeanor. Proven ability to adapt and prioritize with flexibility to handle changing plans, meet deadlines, manage multiple projects, and work independently. Ability to think critically and make appropriate decisions. Working knowledge of software systems, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and web browsers.
