Description Western Michigan University Homer Stryker, MD, School of Medicine is hiring an On-Call Occupational Health and Infection Control Nurse. Performs a variety of professional duties are completed to aid in the development and delivery of occupational health, infection control and worker's compensation to WMed. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES: Develops, maintains and audits employee/student health records to ensure completeness, continuity of care and employee/student confidentiality. Utilizes the EPIC electronic medical record for registration, orders, notes and billing. Utilizes Immuware Occupational Health software. Conducts daily office appointments. Administers employee/student immunizations and maintains related recordkeeping including all MICR documentation and records releases. Processes worker's compensation claims and provides case management in coordination with the worker's compensation carrier. Phone triage of employees or students for removal and return to work. Provides individual counseling sessions to employees/students regarding exposures, immunizations and other occupational health items as necessary.
