On-Call Security Guard

Job Title: On-Call Security Guard (Mainly Overnight) Company: Hawaii Detective & Guard Location: Maui, HI Job Type: On-Call / As-Needed Compensation $45.00 per hour Position Overview Hawaii Detective & Guard is seeking highly experienced and dependable security professionals for on-call assignments on Maui . This role is strictly as-needed, supporting special assignments, emergency coverage, and high-priority details. Candidates must be capable of operating independently, maintaining professionalism, and handling extended overnight shifts. Work Schedule On-call only (no guaranteed hours) Anticipated 2–6 assignments per month Overnight shifts , up to 14 hours Must be able to commit to and complete full assigned shifts Key Responsibilities Provide professional security presence at assigned sites Monitor premises and maintain situational awareness Respond to incidents and document activity as required Enforce site-specific rules, policies, and procedures Communicate effectively with clients, management, and emergency services when needed Minimum Qualifications (Required) Minimum 5 years of security and/or law enforcement experience Active Hawaii Guard Card (required) Ability to work overnight shifts up to 14 hours without interruption Strong judgment, reliability, and professionalism Excellent communication and report-writing skills Additional Requirements Must pass background check Must be responsive and available for short-notice assignments Must have reliable transportation on Maui Ideal Candidate Prior experience in high-liability or critical security environments Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision Flexible and dependable with on-call availability How to Apply Submit your resume through Indeed.
